Armed Forces Covenant

We signed the Armed Forces Covenant (AFC) in April 2020 and we’re proud to show our support for the armed forces and veterans’ community.

Fifty per cent of our shares are owned by veterans and throughout the life of the business, we have shown support for veterans and the armed forces. The level of sacrifice and commitment to the country displayed by selfless individuals is fully understood and respected by this business.

The signing of the AFC represents our first step into formal support for veterans and the servicing communities.

Our full pledge to the AFC can be downloaded here but a few personal pledges individual to SSGC are summarised as:

• Employment
  SSGC guarantees any veteran or serviceperson an interview when applying for any post within the company
• Licensing
  SSGC will sponsor the SIA licence costs for any veteran wishing to join the company where practical
• Development
  SSGC will sponsor any veteran achieving supervisor status or higher with SSGC into membership of the Security Institute
• PTSD Community
  SSGC pledges to give free assistance to any veteran who wishes to remain in employment while receiving treatment for PTSD
